Back to School... *sobs*

OMG I haven’t blogged in SOOOOOO LONG!!!!!!!! I feel horrible, please forgive me!

Very briefly, my trip to France was AMAZING, and I loved every second of my exchange!
Since then I have had a (relatively cold for Australia at this time of year) Christmas at the beach, caught up with my friends, relaxed, done homework (boo!) and begun to learn to drive!
I got my L’s just before Christmas, and have been practicing at every opportunity when it isn’t busy. Down at the beach was great for this purpose! As my driving progresses, I will blog about it (not that it’s that exciting, but it gives me something to write on!).

Today was my first back at school after the summer holidays, and it was ridiculously hot! The weather has been 40+° for three days now, and it’s only going to cool off a little over the weekend. When I say, cool off, I mean mid-late 30° days still! Unfortunately, because everyone is using so much power where I live, they have cut power temporarily. My house lost it for over five hours last night! I’m not the worst off though, Ari lost hers a bit after us, and it didn’t come back on until 1pm today! And I think it’s gone again!

Anyway, being back at school again felt much the same! There are a few new people around the place, so I try to welcome them in the best way possible, because I remember what it was like being new, and it can be hard. It’s even worse for these girls coz there’s only a few of them, unlike me, being new along with half the year! But this year should be good. It’s going to be super busy for a while, but hopefully somehow I’ll cope!

I’ve now moved areas in the school, which is good. The final two years (VCE) have their own ‘centre’ at my school, so I’ve moved in there. It’s great coz we get our own ‘cafĂ©’ where we can heat stuff, have our own fridge, and a space to go when it’s really cold or hot outside. I also get spares (YAY!!), but it does mean I have an increased workload (and Ari's holding it over me, being younger and still having another year before she is forced to go into full-on VCE).

It’s also a scary reminder than in less than two years I will be finished with school, and be stepping out into the big wide world. At this point, this excites me in one way, but scares the living daylights out of me in others. I don’t know whether I’m going to feel the same at different points over the next two years, but I’ll soon find out!

Now I should go, because I’ve been at school for one day and I already have a ton of homework!

xoxo Di

MORE UPBEAT POST YAY!

Happy Australia Day!!

Yes, it's the 26th January, and we rock.

Have eaten lamb today, I hope you all have too. Not only that, but it was BARBECUED LAMB TOO, so that's VERY Australian.

Today, I have practiced my democratic right to give dead arms, enjoyed the smell of barbecuing meat (namely, lamb and kangaroo... yes, Australia is the only country to eat their national emblem) and... been ill.

Yup, I'm sick. Which really bites, cause I've not only got a big gathering with all my friends tomorrow to play LASER TAG!! *oh yeah, we're gonna whoop them... whoever 'them' is* but I also have a job interview which I don't want to whisper through because I'VE LOST MY VOICE.

Ah well.

Happy Australia Day to you.

Neglect. Again.

Not so much me, as the blog.

We is forgotten it.

Or, rather, the other two have, since I'm here blogging and they're... not.

Anyway. I've decided that Matt Smith is not deserving of haters, since we've not actually seen him act yet. And, if you watch the Doctor Who Confidential episode "The Eleventh Doctor" you see that both Matt and David are similar - they're both very animated, they both use their hands a lot when they speak XD etc etc

So. What's been a-happening.

Well, we've been having Aussie Summer Holidays, meaning lots of sun(burn) amongst other outdoors-y pursuits.

Unless you're me, then you've been sitting in your room the entire time.
But you're not, so I'm sure you've been utilising your time well.

Basically, we have less than a week of freedom
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Then school goes back. And, in the immortal words of EVERYONE at the moment,
"The next two years of your schooling will be the most important years you've ever lived"

Gee. Great. Thanks for that. No pressure, huh.

"THE NEXT TWO YEARS WILL DEFINE WHAT YOU DO FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE"
Um, thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure to remember my Paranoiatron to keep reminding me that if I screw up...
"YOU'LL HAVE NOTHING TO LIVE FOR IF YOU DON'T GET 100 IN THE HSC!"

SHUT UP DAMMIT!!

*sigh*

So. Anyway.

Got back from my bestie's today - it was awesome, we watched movies, watched NCIS (my rebound obsession after I discovered that David was leaving. *sniff*), played games, went to her next door neighbours birthday party (we were invited, we didn't just gatecrash. Or rather, fence crash... but what the hey).

And then... I get home.

And what am I greeted with?

A multitude of siblings, with a chorus of any of the following in any particular arrangement you like. In fact, I'll even assort it into a little game - feel free to print out the list and chop up the individual words so you can make your own imaginative insult!:

fat pig
retard
lazy
stupid
weird
idiot
what the heck is wrong with you?
what are you watching now? oh, Doctor Who, that's that show for cool people, yes?
spaz
stupid
unfit (a personal favourite of my siblings.. I've no idea why. Really. It's not as if they enjoy sports or anything. not. *stabs*)
fatty
ooooh, look, it's Pia sitting on her fat backside again. What are you watching now? NCIS? Another one of those cool people shows, huh?

and the list goes on.

And THEN we get the "covert" attack from both sisters which involves me wanting to watch some of David Tennant's video diary from the S4 DVD, so they walk into the room and start whistling, or humming, or singing, and turning off the TV. And dancing around in front of it. And making drinks and chucking them down the sink so they can make another one. So they can stay in the kitchen. AND KEEP BLOODY WHISTLING.

And then they return to the old approach of the names (like I said. Mix and match from the list above)

So then, I go back to my bedroom wanting to hide from the freaks in my house, where I am met with my mother, who decides that I am a sociophobe who refuses to leave my room and won't "integrate with the family". Why? Figure it out.

To top it all off, I have skin that hates me and decides to react when anything touches it, which makes life really embarrassing sometimes (a la scratching your forehead and having it raise and welt to make it look like you've just run into sharp poison ivy etc), allergies to everything on the freaking planet which makes the whole skin reaction thing worse, a chronically damaged knee which has decided to play up, an inexplicable "sometimes there, sometimes not" fever, a completely and utterly overwhelming desire to eat chocolate and the complete lack of motivation to start school up again, especially with the looming prospect of maths, which I'm not allowed to complain about because it's "negative thinking", which is TOTALLY the reason I failed (and not the asthma attack, NO, NOT THE ASTHMA ATTACK.) makes everything just fantastic.

Permission to go to sleep and wake up at the end of 2010?

Actually, better not ask that, it might actually happen. Which would suck. I think.

So. This is Pia, whose paranoia, OCD and general pissed off-ness is increasing with the stress, signing out.

*In Denial*

No, it's not a river.

Two words:

Matt Smith.

Another two words:

11th Doctor.

I'm not sure what to think right now.

Ask me later.
